Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Skin Solutions Henley website and the services we provide. By accessing this website, booking a consultation or appointment, or undergoing treatment with Skin Solutions Henley, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

Skin Solutions Henley is a skin and injectable treatment business based at Belmont House, New Street, Henley-on-Thames, RG9 2BP.

1. Medical Disclaimer

The content provided on this website, including text, images and other materials, is intended for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis or treatment recommendations. No information on this website should be interpreted as a substitute for professional medical consultation.

Individual suitability for any treatment is determined during a face-to-face consultation with one of our practitioners. The information presented online may not reflect the most current medical research or clinical guidelines and is subject to change without notice.

Treatment information provided on the website describes treatments in general terms. The suitability, likely outcome, risks and appropriate treatment plan for an individual client can only be determined following consultation and assessment.

If you have a medical concern, you should consult your GP or an appropriate healthcare professional. In an emergency, call 999 or attend your nearest Accident & Emergency department.

2. Consultation Requirements

A thorough assessment and consultation is required before treatment can be carried out. This assessment allows our practitioners to understand your concerns and treatment objectives and to evaluate your medical history, current health status, relevant previous treatments and suitability for any proposed treatment.

You are required to provide accurate and complete information about your medical history, current medications, allergies, previous aesthetic treatments and any other information requested as part of your assessment.

You must inform us if any information provided during your consultation changes before treatment takes place, including changes to your health, medication or other relevant circumstances.

Failure to disclose relevant medical or other information may affect the safety, suitability and outcome of your treatment.

A consultation is a professional service in its own right. The outcome of a consultation may be information and advice only. Payment for, or attendance at, a consultation does not guarantee that treatment will subsequently be offered.

Skin Solutions Henley reserves the right to decline, postpone or discontinue treatment where it is not considered appropriate or safe. This may include circumstances involving medical contraindications, allergies, medication, psychological concerns, unrealistic expectations or any other factor that may affect suitability or treatment safety.

The decision whether to offer or proceed with treatment is based upon the practitioner’s professional assessment of suitability and safety.

3. Skin Consultation Fee

The fee for a skin consultation is £50.

The consultation fee is payment for the consultation, assessment, professional time, information and advice provided. It is therefore non-refundable once the consultation has taken place, irrespective of whether treatment is subsequently recommended, offered or undertaken.

The £50 consultation fee may be redeemed against the cost of an eligible treatment undertaken within 30 days of the consultation.

The consultation fee:

  • may be redeemed once against an eligible treatment undertaken within 30 days of the consultation;
  • cannot be redeemed against anti-wrinkle treatments;
  • cannot be exchanged for cash;
  • cannot be transferred to another client; and
  • expires if it has not been redeemed within 30 days.

The ability to redeem the consultation fee does not create an entitlement to treatment.

Where, following consultation and assessment, a practitioner considers that treatment would not be suitable, appropriate or safe, Skin Solutions Henley may decline to provide treatment. The consultation fee remains payable because the consultation and assessment service has been provided.

4. Informed Consent

All treatments at Skin Solutions Henley require written informed consent before proceeding.

During your consultation and before treatment, your practitioner will provide information relevant to the proposed treatment. This may include the nature and purpose of the treatment, expected or possible outcomes, potential risks and side effects, material complications, alternative options where relevant, expected recovery or downtime and pre-treatment and aftercare requirements.

You will be provided with sufficient information and an opportunity to ask questions to enable you to make an informed decision about your treatment.

Consent is an ongoing process and may be withdrawn before treatment. You may also ask for treatment to be stopped after it has commenced where it is safe and practicable to do so.

Withdrawal of consent does not remove responsibility for charges reasonably due for consultations, products, services or treatment already provided or commenced.

5. Cooling-Off Periods

Skin Solutions Henley supports clients having sufficient time to consider the information provided during consultation and to make an informed decision about whether they wish to proceed.

A cooling-off period may therefore be offered or required between consultation and treatment where clinically appropriate and in accordance with relevant professional guidance.

For certain injectable treatments, a minimum cooling-off period may be required in line with current UK regulatory guidance and the recommendations of professional bodies including the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP).

Where a cooling-off period is considered appropriate or required, treatment will not proceed until that period has elapsed.

Clients will never be placed under pressure to proceed with treatment following consultation.

6. Prescription-Only Medicines and Anti-Wrinkle Treatments

Certain treatments, including treatments involving botulinum toxin, require a prescription-only medicine.

Where a prescription-only medicine is required, the appropriate prescribing consultation and assessment must take place before treatment can proceed.

A booking, consultation or payment does not guarantee that a prescription will be issued or that treatment will be provided.

The decision whether to prescribe a prescription-only medicine rests with the appropriately qualified authorised prescriber following assessment of the individual client.

Where the prescriber or treating practitioner considers treatment unsuitable, unsafe or inappropriate, treatment will not proceed.

7. No Right to Demand Treatment

A booking does not guarantee that treatment will be provided.

Suitability for treatment will be determined following consultation and professional assessment. Skin Solutions Henley cannot carry out treatment where contraindications, allergies, medical circumstances, psychological concerns or other relevant factors may make treatment inappropriate or increase the risk of an adverse outcome.

If you have paid for and attended a consultation, the outcome of that consultation may be information and advice only.

Skin Solutions Henley and its practitioners reserve the right to refuse, postpone or discontinue treatment where, in their professional judgement, proceeding would not be appropriate.

This applies even where a client wishes to proceed with treatment and accepts the associated risks.

8. Treatment Outcomes

Results from aesthetic and skin treatments vary between individuals and are influenced by numerous factors including skin type and condition, age, lifestyle, medical history, medication, individual biological response, healing response and adherence to pre-treatment and aftercare advice.

No guarantee of a specific outcome or result can be provided.

During your consultation, your practitioner will discuss realistic expectations for your proposed treatment, including likely or possible results, the anticipated timeline for visible changes and whether multiple sessions or maintenance treatments may be required.

Before-and-after photographs, testimonials, examples and images shown on this website, on social media or during consultation are illustrative only. They do not guarantee or predict that another client will achieve the same or similar results.

Some treatments may require multiple sessions to achieve the desired outcome, and maintenance treatments may be recommended to maintain results over time.

In some cases, the response to treatment may be limited and no significant or visible change may occur.

Treatment outcomes cannot therefore be predicted or guaranteed.

9. Risks, Side Effects and Complications

All treatments carry some degree of risk and no aesthetic or skin treatment can be considered entirely risk-free.

The nature and extent of potential risks, side effects and complications vary according to the treatment and the individual client.

Relevant common side effects, material risks and potential complications will be discussed as part of the consultation and informed consent process.

Clients are responsible for following the pre-treatment and aftercare instructions provided by their practitioner.

If you experience an unexpected reaction, complication or other concern following treatment, you should contact Skin Solutions Henley as soon as reasonably possible so that appropriate advice or assessment can be provided.

Where urgent medical attention is required, you should contact an appropriate healthcare service. Depending upon the circumstances this may include your GP, NHS 111, an urgent treatment service or, in an emergency, 999 or your nearest Accident & Emergency department.

10. Pre-Treatment and Aftercare Instructions

Clients must follow reasonable pre-treatment and aftercare instructions provided in connection with their treatment.

These instructions are intended to reduce avoidable risks, support appropriate recovery and provide the best reasonable opportunity for a satisfactory treatment outcome.

Failure to follow pre-treatment or aftercare instructions may increase the likelihood of side effects or complications and may adversely affect treatment results.

Where a course of treatments, combination of treatments or particular home-care measures is recommended, failure to follow the recommended treatment plan may affect the outcome.

Clients should contact Skin Solutions Henley if they are unsure about any instructions provided or experience an unexpected problem following treatment.

11. Bookings

Appointments are made subject to availability.

Bookings are not confirmed until any consultation fee, booking fee or deposit required for the appointment has been received.

Payment of a booking fee or confirmation of an appointment reserves practitioner time but does not guarantee that a particular treatment will be provided.

Treatment remains subject to consultation, informed consent, professional assessment and suitability.

Skin Solutions Henley reserves the right to alter appointment availability or reschedule an appointment where reasonably necessary. Where we need to make a material change to an appointment, we will endeavour to give as much notice as reasonably possible.

12. Treatment Booking Fees and Deposits

Certain treatment appointments may require a booking fee or deposit.

The amount required will be stated when the appointment is booked.

Unless otherwise stated, any treatment booking fee or deposit will be credited against the cost of the treatment when the appointment is attended.

Treatment booking fees and deposits are separate from the £50 skin consultation fee unless expressly stated otherwise.

Where a client cancels or reschedules an appointment with the required notice, any booking fee or deposit will be dealt with in accordance with the applicable booking arrangements.

Where insufficient notice is provided or a client fails to attend, a booking fee or deposit may be retained to the extent reasonably necessary to reflect the reserved appointment time and losses resulting from the cancellation or non-attendance.

13. Missed, Cancelled and Rescheduled Appointments

A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment lasting one hour or less.

A minimum of 72 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment lasting more than one hour.

These notice periods allow us a reasonable opportunity to offer the appointment to another client.

Where insufficient notice is provided or a client fails to attend an appointment, any booking fee or deposit may be retained and an appropriate cancellation charge may apply, taking account of the appointment time reserved and losses reasonably incurred as a result of the late cancellation or non-attendance.

Where we are reasonably able to reallocate the appointment or otherwise reduce our loss, this may be taken into consideration.

We recognise that unforeseen circumstances and genuine emergencies can arise. Exceptional circumstances may be considered on an individual basis. Any waiver, reduction, transfer or other exception to the normal cancellation terms is at the discretion of management and does not create an entitlement to the same exception on any future occasion.

Repeated late cancellations, repeated rescheduling or non-attendance may result in a requirement to pay a larger booking fee or advance payment when making future appointments, or Skin Solutions Henley may decline to accept further bookings.

Nothing in this cancellation policy affects your statutory rights.

14. Late Arrivals

Clients are asked to arrive on time for their appointment.

If you arrive late, Skin Solutions Henley will make reasonable efforts to accommodate you. However, we cannot allow a late arrival to compromise the safe delivery of treatment or significantly delay subsequent clients.

Depending upon the length of the delay, it may be necessary to shorten, postpone or reschedule your appointment.

Where an appointment cannot reasonably proceed because of a client’s late arrival, it may be treated as a late cancellation.

If an appointment cannot proceed or is significantly delayed due to circumstances for which Skin Solutions Henley is responsible, we will make appropriate arrangements to reschedule the appointment without an additional booking charge.

Occasionally appointments may run late because another client requires unexpected clinical attention. Where this occurs, we will endeavour to keep you informed and minimise disruption.

15. Attending Your Appointment

It is important that you provide all medical history and other information requested by your practitioner.

You must inform us of relevant medical conditions, medications, allergies, previous treatments and any other information requested during the consultation and treatment process.

You should also inform your practitioner of any significant change to your medical history or medication occurring between consultation and treatment.

Clients should not attend treatment while under the influence of alcohol, recreational drugs or any substance that may impair their ability to provide informed consent or increase treatment risks.

Where a practitioner has concerns about a client’s capacity to provide informed consent or considers that proceeding could be unsafe, treatment will not take place.

16. Children, Guests and Chaperones

For reasons of safety, privacy and the appropriate delivery of treatment, children are not permitted in treatment areas.

Skin Solutions Henley cannot provide supervision for children while a parent, guardian or other person is undergoing consultation or treatment.

Where you would like a chaperone or support person to attend an appointment, please inform us when booking or before attending so that appropriate arrangements can be considered.

Where appropriate, Skin Solutions Henley may also recommend that a chaperone is present.

17. Treatment Courses

Where treatment is purchased as a course, the recommended treatment intervals and any applicable validity or expiry period will be explained at the time of purchase.

Clients are responsible for booking appointments sufficiently in advance to enable treatments to be completed within the recommended treatment protocol and any stated validity period.

Failure to follow recommended treatment intervals may affect treatment outcomes.

Courses and treatment credits are personal to the client and cannot normally be transferred to another person.

Where a course cannot be completed because of medical circumstances or another situation outside the client’s reasonable control, Skin Solutions Henley will consider the circumstances individually and determine an appropriate solution, taking account of the services already provided and the client’s statutory rights.

Where Skin Solutions Henley is unable to complete a prepaid course through no fault of the client, an appropriate extension, alternative arrangement, credit or refund for services not provided will be considered as applicable.

18. Abandoned or Interrupted Treatment

Clients retain the right to withdraw consent and ask for treatment to stop.

Where treatment has already commenced, the client remains responsible for reasonable charges relating to treatment, services and products already provided or costs reasonably incurred.

Where treatment has to be stopped or interrupted because the practitioner considers that continuing would be unsafe or inappropriate, the practitioner will determine whether treatment should be continued at a later date, modified or discontinued.

Where treatment is interrupted through no fault of the client, Skin Solutions Henley will consider whether it is appropriate to reschedule or complete the treatment or make another reasonable arrangement.

Refunds or financial adjustments will be considered according to the circumstances, the proportion of the service already provided and applicable consumer rights.

19. Pricing

Prices listed on this website and in our promotional materials are indicative and subject to change without prior notice.

Where a treatment is advertised “from” a particular price, this represents the starting price for that treatment. The final cost may depend upon factors including the treatment selected, product used, amount of product required, treatment area and individual treatment plan.

Where appropriate, the exact or anticipated cost of your treatment will be confirmed following consultation and before treatment is carried out.

Skin Solutions Henley reserves the right to amend treatment prices from time to time.

Price changes will apply to future treatments and bookings as applicable. Any relevant price will be confirmed before treatment proceeds.

Where a treatment plan involves multiple sessions, pricing for the proposed course will be explained before purchase.

Any promotional offers, discounts or special pricing are subject to the individual terms and eligibility requirements stated with the relevant promotion and may be amended or withdrawn at any time. Unless expressly stated otherwise, offers and discounts cannot be used in conjunction with one another.

20. Payment

Payment for treatment is required no later than the time the treatment is provided unless alternative arrangements have been expressly agreed in advance.

The client is responsible for payment for services and treatments received.

Payment methods accepted by Skin Solutions Henley will be displayed during the booking or payment process or explained before payment is taken.

Payments made online may be processed securely by a third-party payment provider. Skin Solutions Henley does not retain complete payment card details where these are processed directly by the payment provider.

21. Refunds

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or restricts your statutory consumer rights.

Where a consultation, treatment or other service has already been provided, payment remains due for the service supplied.

The £50 skin consultation fee is non-refundable once the consultation has taken place because the consultation and professional assessment constitute the service purchased, irrespective of whether treatment is subsequently recommended or provided.

A lack of the desired or anticipated aesthetic result does not, by itself, mean that a treatment has been performed incorrectly or create an automatic entitlement to a refund, as individual treatment outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

Where Skin Solutions Henley is unable to provide a prepaid treatment through no fault of the client, the circumstances will be considered individually and an appropriate resolution will be offered, which may include rescheduling, an alternative treatment, credit or, where applicable, a refund. Nothing in these terms affects the client’s statutory rights.

Where a client is legally entitled to a refund or other remedy, nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits that entitlement.

22. Injectable Treatment Reviews and Additional Treatment

Where clinically appropriate, clients may be offered or advised to attend a review following an injectable treatment.

The purpose of a review is to assess the outcome and, where relevant, the client’s response to treatment.

A review appointment does not automatically include additional product, further injections or corrective treatment.

Where additional product or treatment is requested or considered appropriate, additional charges may apply. Any charge will be explained before further treatment is carried out.

The need for additional treatment does not necessarily indicate that the original treatment was performed incorrectly.

23. Photographs and Media

Clinical photographs are required before, during and/or after treatment where necessary for clinical documentation, treatment planning, monitoring of outcomes, management of complications, professional record keeping and compliance with applicable insurance requirements.

By proceeding with treatment, clients acknowledge that the clinical photographs required for that treatment will form part of their confidential treatment record. Where the required clinical photographs cannot be taken, Skin Solutions Henley may be unable to proceed with treatment.

Clinical photographs forming part of a client’s treatment record will be stored securely and processed in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation and our Privacy Policy. They will not be used for advertising, social media, promotional or other marketing purposes merely because they have been taken for clinical purposes.

Any use of identifiable photographs or videos for marketing, advertising, social media, promotional, educational or similar non-clinical purposes is separate from clinical photography and will require appropriate separate consent.

You are under no obligation to consent to the use of your photographs for marketing or promotional purposes. Refusing or withdrawing consent for marketing use will not affect your eligibility for treatment where the required clinical photographs can still be retained as part of your confidential treatment record.

Where the processing of photographs or other personal information is based upon your consent, you may withdraw that consent in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

Further information about the handling of personal information is contained in our Privacy Policy.

24. Client Conduct

Skin Solutions Henley is committed to providing a professional, safe and respectful environment.

Clients are expected to treat practitioners, staff, other clients and other persons on the premises with reasonable courtesy and respect.

Threatening, abusive, discriminatory, intimidating or aggressive language or behaviour, whether in person, by telephone, email, online or through social media, will not be tolerated.

Skin Solutions Henley reserves the right to terminate an appointment, ask a person to leave the premises or decline future appointments where behaviour is threatening, abusive, unsafe or seriously inappropriate.

Where treatment is stopped as a result of a client’s behaviour, any charges or refund will be considered according to the service already provided, costs reasonably incurred and the client’s statutory rights.

Serious threats, harassment or other unlawful behaviour may be reported to the appropriate authorities.

25. Complaints

Skin Solutions Henley is committed to providing a high standard of client care.

If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, consultation or treatment, we encourage you to raise your concern with us as soon as reasonably possible so that we have an opportunity to investigate and respond appropriately.

Where a concern relates to a treatment outcome or complication, we may ask you to attend a review so that the issue can be appropriately assessed.

Formal complaints may be submitted using the following contact details:

26. Liability

Skin Solutions Henley takes reasonable care to ensure that treatments are carried out to an appropriate professional standard by suitably trained practitioners and that appropriate professional indemnity insurance is maintained.

Clients are responsible for providing accurate and complete information about their medical history, medication, allergies and other matters relevant to treatment and for following reasonable pre-treatment and aftercare instructions.

To the extent permitted by law, Skin Solutions Henley will not be responsible for an adverse outcome, loss or damage to the extent that it results from:

  • relevant medical or other information that a client has failed to disclose;
  • false or inaccurate information provided by a client;
  • failure to follow reasonable pre-treatment or aftercare instructions;
  • interference with or alteration of the treated area contrary to aftercare advice;
  • treatment or intervention subsequently carried out by an unrelated third party; or
  • circumstances outside Skin Solutions Henley’s reasonable control.

Allergic and adverse reactions can occur even where an allergy or sensitivity has not previously been known. The possibility of an adverse reaction does not, in itself, indicate negligence or improper treatment.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or restricts your statutory rights.
